Tokyo Olympic Committee has announced that Son Goku, a powerful and strong hero anime character from the Dragon Ball, is chosen as the official Japanese Olympic Ambassador. In their endeavors to draw the consideration of youths, the coordinators have uncovered a rundown of “famous Anime celebrities” who will be featured as the diplomats of the Olympic Games in 2020 which is set to be in Japan.
Goku will leads the other anime famous character Naruto, Shin Chan, Sailor Moon, Petty Cure, Luffy and Astroboy for company in the ambassadorial role with their faces plastered over the official merchandises.

56 years after having organised the Olympic Games, Japan will be hosting a Summer edition for the second time, from 24 July to 9 August 2020. Japan has been an Olympic land since the 1964 Olympics Summer Games, which were the first to be staged in Asia region. In 2020, Japan will host its 4th Games, if we include the Winter Games of 1972 in Sapporo and of 1998 in Nagano. Aligning with the reforms advocated by Olympic Agenda 2020, the Tokyo Games will use as many existing competition venues as possible, namely those built for the Games in 1964, such as the prestigious Nippon Budokkan for judo, the Baji Koen Park for equestrian events, and the Yoyogi National Gymnasium for handball. The Tokyo National Stadium, where the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of 2020 Tokyo Japan Olympics and athletics competitions will be staged, will be completely revamped and replaced by a new arena.
